  The sad truth about sins many of us may not be aware is that once we cease making conscious effort to get rid of any of them in our lives especially through frequent Confessions and self-denials, with time, such sin will gradually solidify in our souls. And when that happens, among its effects is that it will start generating many other terrible sins in our hearts which will eventually render our lives so miserable and horrible! If you had been very attentive, my Beloved Friend, you may have as well noticed that any sin we do not make effort to eradicate in our lives will eventually open door for other sins. This is exactly why, for instance, someone who struggles with masturbation will soon add watching pornography on top should he or she not work on it on time. Funnily, with time, if care is not taken, the sin of fornication will as well make its way into such person’s life. THE NEGLECTED TRUTH

  Always remember Dearest One, no matter how much we love anything or anybody whatsoever, one day we will be forced to let go of them. Honestly! This is why I encourage we endeavour to start now that we still have time to disentangle ourselves from all that blocks our total gift of Self for the service of God! For there is nothing that causes damned souls more grief than the remembrance of the fact that they actually wasted their precious opportunities, time and energy in things, events and people that profited them nothing but temporary pleasures; and they know they ruined their souls with their own hands. Even now, I still wonder. What shall it profit us that after facing all these difficulties of life, especially here in Nigeria, the same hell destined for the fallen angels will eventually be our lot just because of few minutes of carnal pleasures. THE HOLY EUCHARIST

  Many times, in my life, I have inquired to understand those whom this Most Holy Gift of the Father is meant for. Is it for the saints, those who are perfectly pure, or for struggling sinners like me? I pose this because from my personal experience, God knows I'm speaking the truth, many times have I restrained from receiving Jesus because of my failures to live up to the standard of the Saints; I see myself perfectly unworthy because of my weaknesses and sins. However, I observed that the more and more I withdraw from receiving Holy Communion, the more spiritually, physically and psychologically weak I become, especially in resisting sin. I will be like, "There's no need to resist it. I have already fallen" without realizing that the more I submit to that sin the more susceptible I become so that even when I succeed in going for Confessions, I will easily succumb to that same particular sin again and again, all because I am already used to it.
